Diversity & National Accounts

Need a Supply Chain Diversity Solution?

OneSource Distributors recognizes a need that many of our larger customers have - the need for Supplier Diversity.  In June 2002, OneSource created its "Diversity & National Accounts" division that specifically focuses on the fulfillment of this need.  The division's objective is to form long-term business relationships with large Fortune 500 type companies who realize the value of doing business within the communities in which they operate.

Advantages

Because these companies are usually national and global corporations, a compromise of corporate mission often occurs when there are existing agreements with National Suppliers.  This challenge is easily overcome when one carefully considers the many advantages that a strong regional supplier like OneSource has over these National Suppliers:

P Our electronically linked Sales Centers and market expertise within our region give us a laser-like focus on customer service that is much more precise than that of our national competition.
P Our localized inventory of over $12 million of quality, name brand products is more  readily available than that of our national competition.
P Our customized solutions are more "user friendly" than the value-added services offered by our national competition.
P

A direct business relationship with OneSource results in an easier process to track actual diversity (MBE) spend.

Benefits

These advantages provide solid business reasoning for the creation of a new type of agreement - The Regional Corporate Diversity Contract.  This type of agreement does not have to be a replacement to the existing, often mandatory, national account.  It is merely intended to be a voluntary alternative, recognized by corporate, that enables the local plant to attain a higher level of service from the primary national supplier because of the competitive environment that it creates.  The Regional Corporate Diversity Contract helps to keep the national supplier honest, while at the same time, helping to support the corporate mission relating to supplier diversity.

Combined with tremendous capabilities in E-Commerce and experience in providing a wide range of targeted value-add services, the Regional Corporate Diversity Contract can actually lower the overall cost of doing business.
